Don't "work" for money

One of the hardest mentalities to undo as a business owner is the idea that it’s "work” that creates money.

Perhaps you had stints in earlier lives working for money: mowing lawns, waiting tables, teaching, accounting.

You "had to go to work" to make money.

But now, you own a business.

And your working is not how your business makes money.

Your business makes money because it creates value for clients.

Yes, “work” is the thing that needs doing – by people, or by technology, or by a machine.

But it's by asking high-quality questions about what clients need and value and creating that value – that creates money.

Not, "work."
