Views and Value

Imagine someone says,
"I have the best view!!"
.
.
.

What do you picture?

.
.
.
.
.

I bet you didn't envision:

» (from a client) the city skyline of Austin, with "trees as far as the eye can see"

» (from a podcast) Lake Washington: "there are runners and rowers everywhere!"

» (mine) Cliffs! coral-pink, then cream, then sunset orange across the day

...

It's easy to imagine that your "best view" would be the same as someone else's "best view."

And it's easy to do the same when it comes to imagining what your clients value.
(Financials on-time, tax savings, cashflow insights...)

But their view of what is valuable could be surprising:

» "Since you took over our taxes and books, my wife and I don't argue about money."

» "I'm back at the pottery studio throwing, for the first time since I started my business."

» "You've introduced me to so many great people and vendors who have opened doors I wouldn't have found on my own."

...

Listen carefully, and your clients will tell you their view of value.

I can almost guarantee you it won't be the same as yours.
