Pricing Thoughts
I know choosing an arbitrary price can seem crazy, especially for those of us who are linear-thinking and math-loving.
But let’s examine where those resistant-thoughts get us.
Thought = “Pricing can’t be arbitrary. Pricing is determined by logic.”
Feeling = Unsettled, skeptical
Action = Try to logic your way to prices, tabulate input costs of staff time.
Result = Pricing is determined by logic, cost-based and not value based.
The thought, "Pricing is determined by logic," leads to the result of a price determined by logic.
And she who prices with logic by way of tabulating staff time means she continues to work for an hourly rate that doesn’t reflect the value she provides for her clients.
…
Thoughts shape reality.
Even pricing thoughts.
