How do I price if a client is growing rapidly?
How do I price if a client is growing rapidly?
TLDR = Revisit their pricing structure quarterly.
…
When you are considering onboarding a client who is growing rapidly, their needs may evolve, their transaction volume may increase, and the value they get from working with you will evolve.
Give yourself room to be nimble.
Rather than lock yourself into a monthly price for the entire year, set the expectation that you will revisit this client’s price quarterly.
…
Possible script:
”Let’s start at this level, and then, given how fast you’re growing, we can reevaluate your needs quarterly. If you’re growing quickly and your needs change, we can make adjustments.”
…
If they are growing fast, and their needs are changing fast, and your work is changing fast, it’s good for them and good for you, to revisit service level and pricing on the regular.
Otherwise, you risk ending up in an underpriced position, which is bad for you, and bad for them.
