Clients are nervous about competition, but they’re petrified of their own incompetence when it comes to money.
Their petrify is larger than their nervous.
You think your client will think, “Oh no! He’ll share my best practices, and my competition will outperform me!”
But your client thinks, “Thank goodness, here is someone who understands my industry, and she’ll share best practices among all clients, and we will all be better for it.”
If you truly believe you would be working with two businesses who are in direct competition and that makes you uncomfortable, simply take a pass on working with the second one.
