How do I prepare for a session?
You can arrive to your call with something – anything – you want to talk about. Your coach can field anything. Or you can arrive with nothing to talk about, and your coach can help you look around for something that might help you.
What happens in a session?
Tell your coach what you want coaching on. She’ll ask you questions. If you have never been coached before, it feels like having a conversation with someone who’s curious, and their curiosity increases your understanding of your situation from a vantage point you couldn’t see before.
How long are sessions?
They’re 20 minutes. You might be surprised at how much clarity you can create in a short time. And they’re short enough that you can always find time in your week to get coached.
Is it private?
100%. Confidentiality is important.
We do not share details about who gets coached. Coaches do not share details with anyone about any private conversation. We may discuss broad themes and topics that get brought up so that we can better understand the needs of staff and can find ways to serve you better. But we will not discuss or reveal the contents of individual sessions, nor will we discuss individuals themselves.

How often can I get coached?
You can get coached as often as you want. We recommend getting coached weekly. Think of it like yoga, taking out the trash, or flossing. Regular maintenance is best, and you always feel better after. Make coaching a habit.
Can I set up a recurring time slot?
You can do this directly with your coach if you like, or you can schedule more than one at a time with the online scheduler.
Can I get coached more than once a week?
Yes. If coaching would help, schedule a 2nd session. The point is to help you be happier, more focused, and more effective at work (and at home).
Can I get coached on non-work topics?
Yes. The point is to help you be happier, more focused, and more effective at work, so if something non-work-related is occupying your attention, get coached on it.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Use the online scheduler to do that. Out of respect for others, please make changes 24 hours in advance.
