TRAINING SESSIONS

Do you have a slide deck template I should use?

A: Yes. Here is a template you can use, in Google Slides/Presentation. Go to File » Make a Copy… in order to make your own copy which you can then edit.


Do I have to use slides? Can I just use my easel?

A: You do not have to use slides. You are welcome to use paper or an easel. You can also use nothing if you prefer.

Which tools you use are not terribly important to me.
What is important to me is simply professional quality: clean/neat, not perfect, and you being warm and accessible.



How should I introduce / set up Trainings calls?

A: Follow these guidelines.

  1. Call instructions and introduction “script”

  2. Watch the Webinar Tutorial for Zoom tech assistance.



What do I do if no one wants coaching, and it's been less than 30 minutes?

  1. Aim to come prepared with a handful of canned questions that you can answer.

  2. Once you run through those, if there are no questions, you can simply thank listeners and conclude.

  3. Generally I would like to see calls go at least 20 - 25 minutes, but I understand that early on, while attendance is low, that may not happen.



What do I do with the Zoom recording when the call is over?

  1. I do need the audio file; you can use this Drive folder.

  2. I don't need the video file.

What if a coach needs to cancel a training session?
Life happens. If something has come up:

  1. If it’s more than one week away, please email geraldine@shethinksbigcoaching.com to reschedule it.

  2. If it’s less than one week away, please check with other coaches to see if anyone is able to cover you. Update the Zoom link in the calendar invite if so.

  3. If no one is able to cover you, we will simply reschedule it.

Scheduling training sessions

How do I schedule my training sessions?

  1. Choose training session dates and topics approximately 2 months in advance.

  2. By the 7th of each month, please have all of your Trainings scheduled in CPA Mastermind calendar for the following month.
    (ex: By July 7, all August training "events" are created and accurate.) After the 7th of each month, the calendar events will be posted to the website.

  3. Note: If any changes are made to the calendar after the 7th, you will need to please notify hello@geraldinecarter.com with a clear subject line like “Training Calendar Changes” so the website can be updated.

  4. Use this guide to schedule events in the CPA Mastermind google calendar.

1:1 COACHING

How much coaching experience will clients have? How about exposure to the Model?

  1. Assume little to no exposure to the Model. Some will be unable or unwilling to tell you how they feel, only what they think.

  2. I am pre-loading the Private Podcast with some episodes on the Model, and telling them that coaching with you will be different than with me, where we coach heavy on the A line.

  3. Hopefully that will help set their expectations, but this part is highly experimental! :)

How do I set up and make changes to my 1:1 coaching schedule in Acuity?

  1. Follow these steps.

How do I run the session? What’s the protocol for late or no show client appointments, etc.?

  1. Follow the procedure in this document and video (video link in document)

ASK A COACH

Will there be "Ask a Coach"?

  1. I do hope/plan to implement this in the next few months, but it's not necessary at the moment to make this thing go live.

  2. If any of you are interested in writing answers to client questions, ie, doing Ask a Coach, please let me know and we can get that ball in play.



MISC

Can I get paid for other things?

Yes! If you see something that you could improve, or you see a way to add value, that you would do if you were compensated, please suggest it. I can't see or think of or do everything, and I would happily compensate you if you wanted to create something that would improve this product. I don't want "not getting compensated" to be an impediment to making improvements. Rather, I would like to compensate you, and make this product as amazing as it can be :)
